With God, progress is assured in all facets of our lives. That is, as we undergo spiritual transformation, it is expected that we experience material prosperity as well.
But it happens every so often that we focus solely on the pursuit of material prosperity, even at the expense of spiritual growth. This is usually the reason for our many frustrations.
Do not let your ego overtake your ambition.
When we allow our ego to overtake our ambition, we unwittingly open the door for bitterness to consume us. This happens when we covet the possessions of other people; when we fail to acknowledge the progress we too have made since giving our lives to Christ.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.Galatians 5:22-23
The fruit of the spirit, as listed above, is manifested in our character, and must guide all our other pursuits.
