Windowpanes, closed curtains
Body and mind…
All the barriers you breach
Just to get to me

Effervescent morning light
Rising and shining, and
Lifting my mood with

By your light,
We see and are seen
Blue skies above
Green fields below
And all the colours in between

Afternoon delight
Bright and warm
You make my eyes twinkle

When you say goodbye,
It is with the promise that
In the night sky, far and near
There will be friends
smiling down upon us

As I lay me down to rest
I watch the shadows, and realize
They’re half the beauty of everything.
